"Prosperity" God's Last Call To America Pastor Adron Wheat Text: Romans 2: 4 - 6 ~~~~~~~~~~~ Introduction: According to the I.R.S. there are over 87,000 Millionaires in America today. America has been so blessed, living in prosperity like most of the world cannot imagine. So preoccupied that nothing else matters. People have laughed at the adultery and immorality of our own President. He cannot solely be blamed for moral decay of America, he is merely a product of the lifestyles we have accepted for decades. Laws no longer matter, Justice has fallen in the streets, our Legislators govern by polls rather than having the backbone to do what is right.
** I have wondered why has God continued to bless such a wicked, immoral nation.
** Why has God continued to prosper a people who try to erase every thought of him.** This message is not from a Dream, Vision, or special Revelation. Just God's Word
(1) There Is A Pattern Of God's Dealing With Mankind. By This I Believe God Is Giving America Her Last Call. THE PATTERN:
(A) As a nation turns away from God, He warns through His Prophets.
(B) If there is no response, God often sends violent weather changes, storms, floods, droughts.
(C) The next is strange, God pours out "prosperity" as His final call to repent.
(D) In most cases, people only turn further away into greed and indulgence.
(E) Only after a time of God's call through love and blessings, judgment comesFor those who are skeptical let me share some scriptural proof (2) Consider The Social And Economic Conditions Of Noah's Day
(A) God would judge them for their wickedness and violence, but first......
(B) God sent Noah, a preacher of righteousness calling them to repentance.
(C) What were their response? Rejection ! What was their lifestyle ?
Luke 17:27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.God's Final Call ? "Prosperity"...... Noah's Message, "Come Out !" (3) Consider The Social And Economic Conditions Of Lot's Day
(A) God would judge them for their wicked, immoral lifestyle. But first..........
(B) God sent Abraham to deliver, Angels to confirm their lifestyle.
(C) What were they doing when judgment came?
Luke 17:28 - 29 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded. But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. (Sounds Prosperous !)Ezekiel 16:49 - 50 Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy. And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good. (Prosperity ?)
(4) Consider The Social And Economic Conditions Of Judah In Rebellion
Jeremiah 44:16 - 17 As for the word that thou hast spoken unto us in the name of the LORD, we will not hearken unto thee. But we will certainly do whatsoever thing goeth forth out of our own mouth, to burn incense unto the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem: for then had we plenty of victuals, and were well, and saw no evil.
We don't care what you say, Do what we please, Got plenty, See no evil we are doing

(A) Her sins have reached Heaven, Glorified herself, Lives in Luxury, Sits like a Queen, Self sufficient, Am no widow !

(A) Do you think her sins are getting attention in Heaven?
(B) Over 3,000 babies murdered each day, Violence from all ages, Gays (what a name) and Lesbians granted special rights, Pornography on bookshelves and in classrooms. Alternative lifestyles promoted in schools.
(C) Consider our Weather; Storms, Floods, Droughts, El'nino, La'nina, 38 degrees in Alaska, 20 degrees in Atlanta Ga. ( Jan.26, 2000) STRANGE ?Even American Christians have a false sense of security. Looking for revival 2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Where is the evidence of Humbling, Prayer, Seeking God's Face, Turning from our Wicked ways? THERE IS NONE !
(D) Most American Christians just don't care, as long as there's Prosperity
(7) Our Economy Is On Such A False Foundation.
(A) Our "Industrial Base" has been shipped to foreign countries.
(B) We are a "Information and Service" based economy. Not based on "Tangible" goods. ( Try eating and wearing the "Information Super Highway" if the economy goes bad.)
(C) Wall Street has become a Gambling Casino, Stocks vastly overvalued.* Reminds Me Of The Story Of Two Farmers Buying And Selling A Mule.
** Two farmers had this mule they would buy and sell to one another. Farmer A sold the mule to Farmer B for $100. Next day Farmer B sold the mule to Farmer A for $200. This went on and on until one day Farmer B sold the mule to a stranger. Farmer A was in a rage, he went to Farmer B and said; " What on earth do you mean, we were both making a good living out of that mule !"
(D) Our economy is operating on about the same basis. (Like "check kiting" which is illegal)
We are living in the most Prosperous times of our lives, God has so abundantly blessed, but has America turned back to God. NO ! Could this be America's Final Call to repentance?
Can I tell you that Truth, Godliness, Honesty, Morals DO matter! God will judge any nation that forgets Him Our Message Is Still The Same As Theirs...... Come Out, Be Separate Back To Index
